After a 20 year hiatus, the Ethnic Festival is returning to South Bend. The Ethnic Festival brings together the rich cultures that make up our region in one celebratory weekend.
FAQ / Know Before You Go
Yes. This event as a whole does not have an entrance fee or ticket. There will be items available for purchase onsite including food and beverages.
Convenient event parking is available at the public Wayne Street Garage, as well as the Century Center Lot, Crowe Lot, AM General Lot, St. Joseph High Lot, TCU Lot, American National Lot, and School Field Lot. Parking is also available on the streets within walking distance of Howard Park. ADA-accessible parking is available at the Zion Church Lot.
PLEASE NOTE: Be aware of private lots. No public parking is permitted in the Primary Care Partners of South Bend Lot. Vehicles risk being towed.
Yes, all bags are subject to search. Anyone entering the festival grounds will pass through a metal detector or be wanded.
The following items are prohibited from entering the festival. If you try to bring these items in, you will be asked to dispose of them or return them to your car.
- All weapons (with or without a permit)
- Bladed items of any kind
- Pepper spray/mace
- Fireworks, flammable liquids, and other explosive materials
- Audio recording devices
- Professional cameras and video cameras with telephoto or removable zoom lenses
- Drones or any other remote controlled moving object
- Monopods, tripods, and selfie sticks
- Backpacks and other large bags
- Coolers – Including any outside food and beverage items
- Illegal drugs
- Laser pens
- Pets
- Tents
- Umbrellas
- Any other item deemed inappropriate by management/staff
Yes! We encourage you to bring your own camp style bag lawn chairs or blankets. Please be cognizant of your surroundings when planning what items to bring and refrain from bringing items that will obstruct others’ views.
No. Outside food or beverage is NOT permitted. You will be asked to throw these items out or return them to your car. There will be many local and regional vendors for a variety of food and beverage choices.
All concerts will take place rain or shine. In the event of severe weather conditions, we will keep all guests notified via social media and local news outlets. We will notify guests immediately should an event be delayed, postponed, or cancelled due to inclement weather.
For the safety and comfort of our guests, pets will not be allowed inside the concert grounds. Working service animals are welcome!
No smoking or vaping is permitted on festival grounds.
